Camping World is a national chain of stores that carry parts and accessories for recreational vehicles. The store located in Tucson, Arizona also has a full-service shop for repairs and installations, as well as sales of new and used RVs. While some of the services offered at the Tucson location are offered chain-wide at other stores, there are also some services offered that are unique to this location.
Function
The Tucson, Arizona Camping World location offers four main services to customers: shopping, repairs, overnight parking (for those staying in a hotel with no place to park their RV) and RV sales. Camping World Tucson is located within 50 miles of several tourist spots, including Tombstone, Nogales, Mexico and the Kitt Peak Observatory. Even closer by, the Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios and Pima Air Museum are within 20 miles of the store.
Hours of Operation
The Tucson Camping World store has seasonal store hours, which differ between the summer and the rest of the year. From the end of April through the first few weeks of September, the store is open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. most days except Saturday when they are only open until 5 p.m., and they are closed altogether on Sundays. The rest of the year the store is open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. during the week, closing early at 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and running shortened hours from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sundays. The service and repair shop for Camping World stays on the same schedule throughout the year. They are open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and are closed on Sundays.
Store Features
Camping World Tucson offers a variety of accessories and necessary items for RV owners. The retail store as well as the online store offer items including generators, grills, heaters, tents, awnings and window screens. They also have smaller items available such as bedding, furniture and travel games.
Service Features
The Camping World Tucson service and repair shop offers a wide range of services to locals and visitors of the area. They can install tires, batteries and products such as furniture. Camping World Tucson can also make repairs to the RV body, the engine or accessories such as generators. If the shop does not have a part in stock that is needed for your RV, Camping World Tucson can special order it from the manufacturer or other Camping World locations. Unlike some of the smaller stores within the Camping World chain, the Tucson location has the lot space to offer overnight parking for RVs while the owners stay at other accommodations in town. This can be necessary if repairs or service visits will take more than one day.
Rentals and Sales
While the Tucson location offers both new and used RVs for sale, they are not one of the stores that rents RVs. For that you will have to go to the next closest store in Phoenix. Camping World Tucson can also pull up listings of RVs for sale at other Camping World stores and help you find the vehicle of your choice if they do not currently have it.
