The main auto-racing venue in Kansas is the Kansas Motor Speedway in Kansas City, which hosts NASCAR and Indy Car races every year. The track seats around 82,000 people for major races and includes RV camping opportunities that give you views of the racing action. Kansas also has several short tracks and dirt tracks for grassroots racing that allow RV camping for fans before and after races.
Kansas Motor Speedway Infield Camping
Infield camping at Kansas Motor Speedway is at the Blue Ox Reserved Infield section. You can enter the track through a tunnel that runs underneath turn three and park at the Front Runners Club near the track or the non-trackside Speedway Club. As of September 2010, RV spots in the Reserved Infield section were purchased as part of a season pass, which gives you two race tickets to speedway events and a reserved RV spot. Tickets were $800 for the Speedway Club and $900 for the Front Runners Club as of September 2010.
Other Camping at Kansas Motor Speedway
You can also watch the racing from your RV at the Blue Ox Motorhome Terrace, which is situated on a bluff and offers unobstructed views of turns two, three and four along with the backstretch. As of September 2010, a season pass was $2,000. RV parking without views of the track is available at the Village West and Blue Ox Campground facilities. Season passes were $180 and $210 respectively as of September 2010.
Kansas Motor Speedway Camping Regulations

Once your RV enters an onsite campground, you are not allowed to leave until one hour after the race ends. You must have a ticket for admission to enter an on-track RV campground and there is a limit of 10 admissions per space. Dirt Track Camping
The Dodge City Speedway offers a weekly slate of racing that includes dirt modified and appearances by the World of Outlaws national touring sprint cars. Fans can camp free at the track on race weekends. You can also camp in your RV free at the Great American Dirt Track at Jetmore Raceplex or the Jetmore City Lake. The 3/8-mile dirt track features sprint cars, modified and late model racing.
