Overview
Golf clubs are an expensive investment. In order to make sure they stay in top shape for as long as possible -- golf clubs should last 8-to-12 years. One of the things you should do is keep them as clean as possible. That includes cleaning the grips properly.
Step 1
Get a bucket and fill it about halfway with warm water. Add in some dish soap until the water is filled with soap bubbles. Mix it up well by adding more warm water.
Step 2
Take a dish rag and soak it in warm water. Wipe down your grips with the warm water and take off any excess pieces of dirt.
Step 3
Take a sponge and soak it in the dish soap solution. Drench it throroughly and then soap down the grips of your golf clubs. Go over each club you have twice in order to make sure it is thoroughly clean. This should take about 30 seconds per club.
Step 4
Rinse off all the excess soap with a warm, wet rag. Then take your dry rag and make sure your clubs are thoroughly dry before you put them back in in your bag.
Step 5
Clean your grips about once a month. Feel free to clean them more often if you play 3 or more times per week.
