Many natural ways to remove wrinkles and soften skin require little time or effort on your part. Caring for your skin, in fact, does not have to be time consuming or expensive. Instead, you can make simple, daily choices that will help to improve your skin's suppleness, texture and overall health. If you experience allergies to certain flowers or herbs, however, you should consult your primary care physician before trying a natural wrinkle treatment that involves these plants.

Lily Blend

Lily bulbs can provide a natural way to remove wrinkles and soften your skin. In the book "Mama's Home Remedies: Discover Time-Tested Secrets of Good Health and the Pleasures of Natural Living," authors Svetlana Konnikova and Anna Marie Clement recommend this ancient French remedy for improving your skin.

Cook a lily bulb until it becomes soft and then mix it with honey. Apply this mixture to your face for anywhere from five to 15 minutes and then rinse gently with warm water. Konnikova and Clement explain that the lily and honey blend will help to soften your skin and smooth away wrinkles, as well as diminish facial spots and soothe skin disorders.

Morning Routine

Changing your moisturizing routine may also help to decrease wrinkles and increase the softness of your skin. Most people apply moisturizing creams and treatments at the end of the day. Instead of moisturizing only in the evening, though, try applying moisturizer to your skin when you wake up in the morning. The natural remedy guide "Natural Remedies: Non-drug Healing Strategies That Work Best" recommends applying moisturizer in the morning because it helps to plump the skin, which in turn helps to hide wrinkles. You will find that your skin feels softer as well throughout your day.

Facial Massage

Gentle facial massages may also be able to minimize wrinkles and increase your skin's suppleness and smoothness. Bill Gottlieb, in "Alternative Cures: More Than 1,000 of the Most Effective Natural Home Remedies," recommends gentle facial massages as a method for wrinkle prevention as well. Clean and dry your hands and then rub your palms together quickly for about 30 seconds. When your hands begin to feel warm, move them upward over your entire face toward your forehead and hairline. Then move your palms outward over your ears and back down to your chin. Repeat this circular motion 35 to 40 times. Make sure you avoid pulling on your skin during the massage. Gottlieb recommends repeating the massage daily for best results.

Daily Misting

Increase your skin's moisture throughout your day with a fine mist from a small spray bottle. Gottlieb explains that spraying the skin with a fine mist of water can help to reduce fine lines and improve skin's softness. He recommends choose a small bottle "with a pump sprayer that emits a very fine spray that won't disturb makeup." Although water alone will work well as a misting agent, you can also add 10 drops of essential oil blend, such as lavender or rose, to the water. If you do add an essential oil blend, shake the mixture well before using it and avoid spraying it into your eyes. To see results, use the mister at least three times during the day.
