Is Fingernail Fungus Contagious?

Fingernail fungus is not considered contagious from person to person. Touching a fingernail with fungus will not give it to you. However, it is considered contagious between fingernails on the same person. Fingernail fungus on one finger is likely to spread to another finger on the same hand.
