Perfume is a true joy of life. It adds sensuality to life and enchants the wearer with a special smell that they enjoy. A perfume may either give a burst of energy with a scent like citrus, may summon thoughts of exotic places with a smell like sandalwood, or may bring back garden memories with scents of flowers. Perfumes create a mood. It also provides a signature scent if a wearer wears the same perfume consistently.
Layer Perfume and Lotion
Using the same scent in perfume and in a body lotion helps the scent linger longer. Put the body lotion on first and cover the major areas of the body with the scent. Then spray or place perfume on the pulse point areas in the neck, wrist and other chosen areas to intensify the scent. This ensures the perfume scent will last longer and be more easily noticed.
Layer Perfume and Powder
A scented powder may also be used with the scented body lotion and perfume. The powder may be placed on the body to add another layer of scent, help the aroma stick to the body and last as long as possible. Put on the body lotion first, the perfume second, and then add the scented powder as the final step. This helps the scent to settle into the body and last throughout the day.
Wear Perfume in the Hair
Placing a bit of perfume on the hair ensure the scent will spread throughout the area when one moves. As the hair swings, the perfume scent will waft out and spread through out the nearby area. For a bolder presence from the perfume, placing it on the hair ensures the scent will be activated frequently by the movements of the hair.
Apply Perfume Before Dressing
Apply perfume before dressing or putting on jewelry. This ensures that the perfume will not be directly sprayed on the clothing or the jewelry which may damage them.
