Nutrisystem offers a streamlined dieting program that involves a subscription-based food service. At regular intervals, the company ships prepackaged meals to you. Because the food comes in batches designed to feed you for 28 days, you'll need to store your Nutrisystem meals until you're ready to eat them. If you ever find that you're not eating all your Nutrisystem foods in time for the next auto-shipment, you can call the company headquarters at 1-888-849-4686 to delay your next shipment for up to 30 days.
Step 1
Read the product packaging on your individually packaged Nutrisystem meals. If you've subscribed to the Nutrisystem Select program, separate those labeled as "Select" --- example foods include ravioli formaggio and glazed chicken tenders --- from the regular Nutrisystem meals.
Step 2
Place the Nutrisystem Select foods in your freezer. All Select meals need to remain frozen until you're reader to eat them. For food safety, the ideal freezer temperature is 0 degrees F or lower, according to the University of Nebraska.
Step 3
Stack the rest of the Nutrisystem foods in your cupboards or shelves. Nutrisystem reports that most of its foods, except for the Nutrisystem Select packages, go through a "soft canning" process that doesn't require freezing or refrigeration. The company reports that many of its customers store their Nutrisystem food in their office for easy-to-access meals.
