NXLabs Methyl Test product claims to increase testosterone by 298 percent, while also increasing growth hormone by 254 percent. Testosterone and growth hormone are anabolic substances that can dramatically increase muscle gains and fat loss. Methyl Test does not contain any steroid hormones, although the label might lead you to believe otherwise. NXLabs has invented names for commonly used ingredients. 1-Methyl-17-Androfinodiene, Sustanun and Estrobloc, the proprietary blends in the product, may carry side effects for some users.

1-Methyl-17-Androfinodiene

This chemical-sounding proprietary blend is just a combination of fenugreek extract, yohimbe and melatonin. Fenugreek extract, also known as Testofen, contains natural phyto-nutrients that mimic the actions of testosterone in the body. The only side effect specifically correlated with Testofen is increased appetite. However, fenugreek extract may cause diarrhea, headache, indigestion, heartburn, bloating or gas, and unusual body or urine odor. Rare symptoms can include internal bleeding, vomiting blood, severe allergic reaction and stroke. Yohimbe is an herb commonly used as an aphrodisiac for men. Yohimbine, the alkaloid chemical, helps to vasodialate blood vessels, promoting blood flow. Yohimbe may cause anxiety, panic attack, increased blood pressure or heart rate, irritability, headache, nausea, skin flush, sweating, dizziness, frequent urination, water retention and hyperactivity. Melatonin is a hormone that controls sleep patterns in the body. Jerry Brainum, a noted sports nutrition expert, affirms in his ebook "Natural Anabolics" that melatonin does increase growth hormone secretion. However, melatonin may cause headache, nausea, depression, nightmares or vivid dreams, irritability, abdominal cramps, dizziness, low sex drive and daytime sleepiness.

Sustanun

Sustanun is what NXLabs refers to as an "anabolic suspension matrix" that helps to deliver the active ingredients in the Methyl Test formula. The proprietary blend Sustanun refers to two kinds of fats that have been shown to increase exercise performance and fat loss. CLA or conjugated linoleic acid may enhance lean muscle mass while promoting fat burning. Few side effects have been reported outside of mild upset stomach and diarrhea. The other ingredient is Sesamin, also known as sesame seed oil, which is gaining popularity as a fat loss aid. Side effects may include severe allergies and decreased libido.

Estrobloc

Estrobloc is added to the formula for the purpose of decreasing aromatase activity. Free testosterone in the body can convert or aromatize into the female hormone estrogen. This conversion lowers total free testosterone and can hinder muscle-building efforts. Bitter orange extract is the first ingredient, which contains the chemical constituent known as synephrine. Synephrine has similar effects in the body to ephedrine. Side effects can include increased blood pressure and heart rate, irregular heart rhythms, chest pain, blurred vision, seizure, diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain or cramps, and vomiting. Trans-3,4,5-trihydroxystilbene is another name for the popular antiaging supplement resveratrol. Resveratrol or trans-resveratrol is purported to decrease the aromatization of testosterone into estrogen. The source of resveratrol used is Japanese knotweed, a natural herb with no known side effects. As an added benefit, the resveratrol may have healthy heart and antiaging benefits.
