Nike IC putters strive to provide golfers with an optical edge over the competition. Designed in concert with Dr. Alan W. Reichow, Nike's global research director of Vision and Science, IC putters feature distinctive coloring and shaping to promote accuracy. Even the putter's IC name serves as a play on "I See," testifying to its concern with improving sight lines. While available in seven models, all Nike IC putters share the same basic specifications.

Coloring

All models of Nike IC putters are completely green, featuring green coloring on the shaft, club head and grip, allowing the it to blend in with the grass background of the putting green while contrasting with the putter's metallic club face and white alignment stripes. Nike Golf contends eliminating this "visual noise" removes distractions and helps golfers focus on aligning putts, resulting in more consistent contact and improved accuracy. Nike's engineers even conducted research to determine the most effective style for alignment aids, settling on a white triangular shape for all IC putters.

Shapes

Nike IC putters provide options for golfers who prefer blade putters and for those who favor mallets. The IC 20-10 and the IC 20-10A are conventional blade putters, with the IC 20-10A also featuring an offset shaft for additional help with putt alignment. Fans of mallet putters may choose from the IC 20-10B Mid Mallet, the IC 20-15 MOI, the IC 20-15A, the IC 20-20 and the IC 20-20A Large Mallet.

Shafts

Nike Golf produces its line of IC putters in lengths of 33, 34 and 35 inches. The IC 20-20A large mallet comes in a shaft length of 43 inches, making it the line's only extended shaft model. Each IC putter also comes equipped with a Winn Grip, which utilizes Advanced Integration Technology to optimize tackiness and feel.

Features

All Nike IC putters possess high Moment of Inertia, or MOI, to help stabilize the club head through impact for a more confident, accurate stroke. Nike also milled the club faces to further enhance accuracy, predictability and distance control. The precise milling creates a larger sweet spot to grant more forgiveness on contact, meaning even slightly off-center hits can remain on target.

Pricing

As of September 2010, Nike Golf suggests a retail price of $143.99 for each of its IC putters. This price places the IC line in the middle of Nike Golf's putting family, ranking them slightly more expensive than the $119.99 OZ line but significantly cheaper than the $299.99 Method line.
