Acne scars are common among people who suffered from moderate to severe acne. While they are normal, they can be embarrassing and unsightly to many people. But there are some natural treatments that can help to fade acne scars in a short period of time according to Julia Lawless, author of "The Encyclopedia of Essential Oils: The Complete Guide to the Use of Aromatic Oils in Aromatherapy, Herbalism, Health and Well-Being," and Susan Worwood, author of "Essential Aromatherapy: A Pocket Guide to Essential Oils and Aromatherapy."

Step 1

Combine ½ tsp. Helichrysum essential oil, ½ tsp. Lavandin essential oil, ½ tsp. Lavender essential oil, ½ tsp. Rosemary essential oil, ½ tsp. Sage essential oil, ½ tsp. Palmarosa essential oil, ½ tsp. Vetiver essential oil an 1 cup jojoba oil in a small container with a tight-fitting top.

Step 2

Pour a small amount of the essential oil mixture into a clean bowl. Add a cotton pad to the bowl and allow it soak for one to two minutes.

Step 3

Dab the cotton pad on your skin for one minute. Allow the oil to stay on your skin for 15 minutes after applying it.

Step 4

Rinse your skin with cool, clean water and wash with a gentle facial cleanser. Pat your skin dry and apply a light oil-free moisturizer.

Step 5

Use this treatment twice per day in the morning and evening. Stop using the essential oil mixture if it causes any redness, swelling or itching.

Step 6

Keep unused portions of the essential oil mixture in a cool, dark place for 60 days. Throw the essential oil mixture away after 60 days has passed.
