Young mothers living in or visiting Florida can choose from many activities that they can partake in with their children or without. Whether looking for a free way to enjoy the Sunshine state or a night away from mommy duties, there are plenty of options.

Theme Parks

Theme parks are a great choice for the fun-loving young mommy who wants an adrenaline rush. Theme parks are family friendly, so young moms can enjoy them with the children. Disneyworld has child swap and rides for children; visit Epcot and enjoy adult beverages while watching shows or riding rollercoasters. Sea World has animals that kids love to watch, and for the young mom Kraken and Atlantis are among the thrill rides to enjoy. Universal Studios runs the gamut from Dr. Seuss to The Hulk ride.

Beaches and Boutiques

For the young mom on a budget, there are several choices. The beach is a popular destination in Florida. Beaches like New Smyrna allow you to drive on the beach, a plus if you are toting baby and gear. Cocoa Beach has fun shops and quirky boutiques to visit with or without the kids.

Night Life

For the young mom looking for a little excitement and night life, Florida offers many options. Citywalk at Universal Studios has dancing at clubs featuring Motown, Latin and Reggae music. South Beach in Miami is sure to have music and dancing at all the local restaurants and lounges. For the northern part of Florida, Ibor City is nothing but evening entertainment for the young crowd to enjoy.

Parks and Recreation

For the sporty young mom, Florida's park system offers trails to bike, hike or walk through. There are beach parks, swamp parks and wooded parks for anyone to enjoy. In 2010, the Florida park system is celebrating 75 years, which means discounts on campground costs and park fees.

Water Parks

For young moms who enjoy the water but not the sand, Florida has several water parks to enjoy with or without the children. Adventure Island in Tampa is an easy stop if you have been enjoying Busch Gardens in Tampa. Disney offers a variety of water parks--Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Sea World's Aquatica boasts water slides that plunge a rider through a pool filled with dolphins.
