Weslo Treadmill Belt Replacement Directions

Weslo produces a line of treadmills marketed towards the home user who wants to burn calories and improve cardiovascular health from the comfort of home. Some models of Weslo come equipped with advanced features, such as preprogrammed personal trainer workouts and heart rate monitors, while others are comprised of the barest essentials, lacking even a motor unit. Should the walking belt on your Weslo treadmill wear out, you will have to partially disassemble the machine in order to install a replacement; the steps involved are similar from one model to the next.

Ordering the Belt

Step 1

Direct your web browser to www.weslo.com and click on the link at the top labeled "Help Center."

Step 2

Click on the link labeled "Replacement Parts." Enter your treadmill's model name in the field labeled "Model Name," then click on the button labeled "Search."

Step 3

Click on the link for your model of treadmill. Click on the link labeled "Walking Belt." Click on the link labeled "Checkout" and follow the onscreen instructions.

Installation

Step 1

Unplug the treadmill's power cord, if present. Remove the bolts securing the motor hood to the treadmill's frame, then move to the rear of the treadmill. Locate and remove the two adjustment bolts set into the rear of the treadmill's base. Remove the end caps from the rear of the base.

Step 2

Inspect the platform covers located to the sides of the treadmill belt. Locate and remove any screws securing the covers to the frame. Remove the platform covers. Remove any bolts securing the front roller in place. Lift the pulley end of the roller and remove the drive belt.

Step 3

Lift the rollers and slide them out of the walking belt. Remove the bolts or screws securing the walking deck to the treadmill's frame. Remove the deck and slide it free of the old belt. Insert the belt into the replacement belt. Refasten the deck to the frame and reinstall the rollers.

Step 4

Lift the walking belt and spread a small amount of silicone lubricant over the top of the deck. Bolt the front roller back into place. Rotate the rear roller until the bolt holes are facing towards the rear end of the deck.

Step 5

Replace the platform covers and refasten it to the deck. Replace the end caps and reinstall the rear adjustment bolts. Bolt the motor hood back onto the treadmill's frame.

Tips and Warnings

  • If your treadmill comes equipped with an adjustable incline setting, lower the treadmill to the ground before you remove the motor housing. If you are unable to find a replacement belt from the Weslo website, you may be able to find one from a third-party reseller.
