"If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it." These are the words of Yogi Bhajan, known for introducing Kundalini Yoga to the western world in 1969. Kundalini yoga is transformative practice that uses breath, sound, movements, and postures to awaken your energetic potentials and align your mind, body, and spirit. There are several institutions that offer comprehensive training in Kundalini Yoga. When choosing a training program, look for certified, experienced instructors in schools that meet state and federal regulations.
The 3HO Foundation
A global community of Kundalini yogis, The 3HO Foundation was formed by Yogi Bhajan and offers three levels of instructor training that allow you to progressively deepen your practice, broaden your skills, and share your knowledge with others. The physical locations of The 3HO Foundation vary, however there are several other schools that specialize specifically in Yogi Bhajan's trainings. These include The Kundalini Research Institute in New Mexico, Kundalini in the Loop in Chicago, Yoga Academy of Texas, Yoga Phoenix, and Yoga West in Vancouver.
