Natural skin care remedies are easy to make and effective. This homemade skin care remedy line is ideal for most skin types, including sensitive skin, and it works for skin problems from breakouts to premature aging. Use this line daily for beautiful skin that is soft, smooth and healthy. In addition to these skin care treatments, take a multivitamin daily to ensure that you are getting proper nutrition for proper cell function and free-radical defense.
Step 1
Make a honey cleanser to use twice daily by combining 1 cup of honey with 1 cup of mild liquid facial soap. Pour into a squeeze or pump bottle and shake before using. Honey contains many nutrients, including potassium, which is a natural antibacterial agent, and honey also helps skin hold in necessary moisture to prevent dryness.
Step 2
Scrub your face gently with 1 tsp. white or brown honey. Use the scrub every other day to remove dead skin cells and impurities from pores. Sugar contains glycolic acid, which repairs damaged skin and prevents premature aging.
Step 3
Use a mild apple cider vinegar toner once a day to clear clogged pores and remove dead skin. Mix 1 tsp. of apple cider vinegar in 1 cup of water and apply to the skin with a cotton ball. Apple cider vinegar contains alpha hydroxy acids and chromium, which clears blemishes and prevents fine lines and wrinkles.
Step 4
Apply a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil to your face twice daily as a moisturizer. Olive oil contains oleic acid, which helps skin become more permeable and supple. Olive oil is also clarifying to the skin and will not clog pores.
Step 5
Use an intensive night treatment three times a week for skin that is aging or dry, using 1/8 tsp. of olive oil enhanced with 1/8 tsp. of pure vitamin E oil. The vitamin E oil will repair damaged skin and boost cell regeneration, giving you a younger appearance.
Tips and Warnings
- If apple cider vinegar does not irritate your skin, add another teaspoon to the toner mixture. Olive oil will wear well under makeup. Extra virgin olive oil is best for the skin because it is the most pure and has been processed the least.
- Take care not to get vinegar in the eyes.
