Creatine allows athletes to exercise harder and longer, according to the body-building industry. Creatine powders dehydrate the body and must be digested, which increases absorption time. However, creatine serum is readily absorbed by the body in significantly less time than the powder.

Creatine Benefits

Creatine is a natural occurring chemical compound produced in the muscles. According to body building supplement providers, using creatine increases muscle explosiveness, strength, speed and endurance, and also provides extra energy to muscles and boosts the regeneration of muscle based compounds.

Side Effects

Reported side effects include hormonal disorders, mood swings, aggressive behavoir, gastrointestinal complications and hair loss.

Contraindications

Although this supplement is not regulated by the FDA, the kidney side effects reported indicate that anyone with a renal disease, such as diabetics, should avoid these products

Considerations

Creatine is a supplement and is not a replacement for hard work in the gym. The serum helps to increase workout intensity and capacity for muscle building. Hard workouts with improper diet, sleeping patterns and/or training protocols result in diminishing returns.
