ICON Health and Fitness, the company behind NordicTrack, churns out new treadmill models every year, so it's little surprise that the NordicTrack C 2000 has few unique features. But it does offer everything you'd expect in a low- to mid-range treadmill, including a decent user weight capacity of 250 lbs.
Motor
The NordicTrack C 2000 comes with a 2 horsepower continuous duty motor. It offers a maximum speed of 12 mph, and motor-adjusts between 0 percent and 12 percent incline.
Folding Deck
The C 2000's deck folds and locks in place against the console when not in use. Transport wheels make it easy for one person to shift the treadmill between workout and storage locations.
Console
The C 2000 console features two built-in cooling fans, a book holder and dual water bottle holders. You can also mount aromatherapy scent pads beside the cooling fans.
Adjustable Cushioning
The C 2000's running deck features adjustable DuraSoft cushioning. Dismount the treadmill and adjust the slider, located at the side of the treadmill deck, to select between 19-percent, 23-percent or 26-percent impact reduction.
Sound System
The C 2000 comes with an optional sound system, including built-in speakers and a connector for an MP3 player.
Preprogrammed Workouts
The C 2000 comes with four preset workouts: Runner's Classic, Power Pace, Champion Course and Extreme Challenge. You can also customize two programs of your own and save them for later use, or control the treadmill's speed manually.
IFit
If you choose not to use any of the built-in workouts, you can connect the treadmill to an audio device that plays CDs. Insert an iFit CD into your audio device, and it will function as an extra, built-in workout. You'll hear a personal trainer guiding you through the workout as the treadmill automatically adjusts speed and incline. If you prefer not to purchase iFit CDs, you can connect the treadmill to your computer and download workouts over the Internet.
Heart Rate Monitoring
The C 2000 has built-in handgrip heart rate monitors. Grip one in each hand as you walk or run, and the treadmill will display your heart rate on the console. You can also don a wireless chest strap heart rate monitor for a hands-free heart rate display.
