Jenny Craig offers prepackaged foods to help you lose weight while eating balanced meals. The Oatmeal Breakfast Squares are part of the breakfast menu and, according to Jenny Craig, each square has an entire serving of whole grains as well as 190 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, no cholesterol, 3 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein.
Oats and Flour
Jenny Craig's Oatmeal Breakfast squares contain rolled oats as well as oat flour and rice flour. Baking soda is used to help the product rise.
Sweeteners
To sweeten the breakfast squares, Jenny Craig uses brown rice syrup, brown sugar and evaporated cane juice. There are no artificial sweeteners in the Oatmeal Breakfast Square.
Oils and Additives
The squares contain vegetable glycerine, wheat protein concentrates and soy crisp rice, as well as oils, including soybean oil and sunflower oil. Mono and diglycerides help blend the ingredients and hold them together. The squares also contain oat fiber, malted barley extract and soy lecithin.
Flavorings
To flavor the breakfast square, Jenny Craig uses plum puree, cinnamon, salt and other natural flavors. Raisins add flavor and nutritional value. Jenny Craig notes that it makes the breakfast square in a facility that process peanuts and other nuts, so if you have allergies to nuts, you should not eat the Oatmeal Breakfast Squares.
