Moles can either be acquired, atypical or congenital. Congenital moles are moles that you are born with, while acquired moles can come from sun exposure or develop later on in life. Atypical moles have irregular borders and are linked with developing skin cancer. The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology estimates that one out of ever 10 Americans has at least one atypical mole. Using natural remedies you may be able to lighten the appearance of dark skin on your mole. More expensive medical treatments are also available such as dermabrasion and mole removal.
Step 1
Make a skin lightening tea using freshly parsley. Cut the parsley and let it sit for 30 minutes. Strain the liquid from the parsley. Apply the liquid to your skin up to three times per day. The parsley liquid will keep in the refrigerator for one week.
Step 2
Create a milk-based lightener. Mix 3 parts milk to 1 part rubbing alcohol. Apply this mixture to your skin before going to bed every evening. Do not wash it off until the morning.
Step 3
Use carrots to lightening the skin. Grate a carrot until you have 3 tbsp. of grated carrot. Mix the grated carrot with 1 tbsp. of milk. Apply the mixture to the skin as a face mask. Allow the mask to soak into the skin for 30 minutes and wash off. Greathomeremedies.com recommends using this face mask two to three times per week.
Step 4
Mix baking soda with a few drops of castor oil. Rub the mixture into the skin several times per day. You may want to place a bandage over the mole and baking soda mixture. This should help lighten and eventually remove the mole as the skin of the mole sloughs off. It is normal for the skin of the mole to scab and then fall off.
