Hiking Club in the White Tank Mountains, AZ

The White Tank Mountain Regional Park located in Maricopa County about 20 miles to the west of Phoenix. Occasionally, heavy rain pours down the granite walls and through chutes, creating cavities in the rock, which give the mountains their name. During rainfall, waterfalls and streams emerge in the park. When hiking in this desert area, drink water frequently and wear well-ventilated clothing.
