Acne breakouts and the scars they leave plague both men and women of all ages. Though the exact cause of acne is unknown, the National Institutes of Health states that doctors believe it's the result of fluctuating hormones, environmental irritants, stress and poor skin hygiene. Acne scars are linked to picking, squeezing or intensely scrubbing pimples or severe nodular or cystic acne, says TeensHealth.org. Consult your dermatologist or physician before using cranberry juice to treat your acne scars.

Step 1

Rinse your face with lukewarm water and gently pat dry with a clean towel.

Step 2

Pour 1 cup of cranberry juice into a small cup. You can use either store-bought cranberry juice or purchase your own cranberries to crush. Select a natural, non-sweetened cranberry juice if you buy it from the supermarket.

Step 3

Dip a cotton ball into the cranberry juice and allow it to absorb the juice.

Step 4

Rub the cotton ball gently over your face. Allow the cranberry juice to seep out of the cotton ball and onto your skin. Lean over the sink to avoid making a mess.

Step 5

Let the cranberry juice set for five minutes. Rinse your face with cool water and gently pat dry. Repeat once every day to promote faster healing of acne scars.
