Starbucks has become America's coffeehouse. Customers can find their favorite coffee and tea drinks at one of Starbucks stand-alone stores, in malls, superstores and in local grocery stores. Starbucks baristas, or coffeemakers, brew beverages that are made from standardized recipes. Nutritional data is based on these recipes and will change as individuals customize each order.
Clover Brewed Coffee
Starbucks debuted the Clover brewing station in 2007, which brews a single cup of coffee from specially selected coffee beans. Each 16-oz. serving contains five calories and 10 mg of sodium. A single serving of Clover brewed coffee has 330 mg of caffeine but no fat, cholesterol, carbohydrates, vitamins or minerals.
Iced Coffee with Milk
Starbucks combines its chilled Terraza Blend coffee with milk and sweeteners to create its Iced Coffee with Milk drink. A 16-oz. serving, or Grande, contains 120 calories, 1.5 g of fat and less than 5 mg of cholesterol. Each serving contains 35 mg of sodium, but no potassium. Sugars provide the 24 g of carbohydrates. One Grande Ice Coffee with milk also contains 120 mg of caffeine as well as 2 percent of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's recommended daily intake of vitamin A and 10 percent of the FDA's RDI of calcium.
Caffe Latte
A Caffe Latte combines espresso, steamed milk and foam. A 16-oz. serving contains 150 mg of caffeine, 190 calories and 7 g of fat, with 4.5 g of fat coming from saturated fat. Each serving also contains 30 mg of cholesterol, 159 mg of sodium, 18 g of carbohydrates and 12 g of protein. A single serving of Starbucks Caffe Latte provides 15 percent of the vitamin A and 40 percent of the calcium recommended by the FDA each day.
Caramel Macchiato
The Caramel Macchiato consists of espresso and steamed milk, which is then flavored with vanilla syrup and topped with a caramel sauce. A 16-oz. serving contains 150 mg of caffeine, 240 calories and 7 g of fat, with 4.5 g coming form saturated fats. Each serving also contains 25 mg of cholesterol, 130 mg of sodium, 34 g of carbohydrates and 10 g of protein. A single serving of Caramel Macchiato also contains 10 percent of the vitamin A and 30 percent of the calcium the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends each day.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
The Pumpkin Spice Latte is a seasonal favorite at Starbucks each autumn. A 16-oz. serving combines espresso, pumpkin spices and steamed milk with whipped cream which has been sweetened. Each serving contains 150 mg of caffeine, 380 calories and 13 g of fat, 8 g of which are saturated fat. Each cup also contains 50 mg of cholesterol, 220 mg of sodium, 51 g of carbohydrates and 14 g of protein. Pumpkin Spice Lattes provide 15 percent of the Vitamin A and 50 percent of the calcium which the FDA recommends each day.
Caffe Vanilla Frappuccino
A Frappuccino is a blended drink which combines coffee, vanilla bean powder and milk and blends them with ice, creating a smooth consistency. A 16-oz. serving of Caffe Vanilla contains 90 mg of caffeine, 300 calories and 3 g of fat. Each serving provides 10 mg of cholesterol, 210 mg of sodium, three grams of protein and 66 grams of carbohydrates.
Tazo Awake Brewed Tea
Awake Brewed Tea is a black breakfast tea. As with its coffees, a Grande, is available in 16-oz. sevings. A single serving of tea has no caffeine, calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates or protein.
