Combining the sweet flavors of strawberries and chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries are commonly enjoyed as desserts, in combination with wine or as a snack. Some recipes, depending on the oil used, may contain monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. Most of the recipes, however, don't contain cholesterol.
Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are supplied from the strawberries with each serving supplying about 6g of total carbohydrates for a total of 65 percent of the calories. Small amounts of dietary fiber--1g-- are found in each serving with about 4g of sugars per serving.
Nutrients

Considerations
Changing the oil and chocolate can significantly change the amount of calories in chocolate covered strawberries. Simple recipes that contain only strawberries, semisweet chocolate and canola oil will contain fewer calories than recipes with a long list of ingredients that include partially hydrogenated cottonseed oils, sugar and other oils. Some chocolate covered strawberries can also contain food allergens such as milk and soy.
