Bikes used in indoor group cycling classes are specialized in their design. These bikes do not have two wheels, but rather one weighted flywheel at the front of the bike. A knob on the down tube adjusts to increase or decrease resistance, replicating headwind, inclines and surface resistance. The handlebars resemble those on a mountain bike, modified slightly to assist the exercise value of the cycling programs.
