How Do Stars Lose Weight & Shape Up So Fast?

Film stars appear flawless, beautiful and sometimes not even human. But their physical shape is less simple to acquire as it may seem. Celebrities are people, too, with the same physiology all humans have. In many instances they work hard, hiring trainers or gourmet diet chefs. In other instances, they turn to surgery or diet pills. Since their bodies are directly linked to, and sometimes the basis of, their celebrity and their careers, it is not an area of their lives they take lightly.

According to The Huffington Post, Madonna and Gwymeth Paltrow attribute their high-powered physiques to their work with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson. Madonna exercises three hours per day and eats a natural, macrobiotic diet. For her, fitness and physique are nearly a full-time job. Paltrow noted on the "The Oprah Show" that she "can't diet." If she tries to not eat dessert she wants it more. So, she exercises.

Queen Latifah shed pounds recently as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, dining on Jenny Craig's custom meals and sticking to the company's diet plan. But Latifah has never allowed herself to succumb to Hollywood's unrealistic ideals. She told "People Magazine" that she wanted to lose weight because it "makes a different in health related issues" and has done it. Her attitude has been welcomed by many, since too often, according to "People," celebrities feel pressured into eating disorders or disordered exercise habits in order to keep up with industry standards..

When it comes down to it, celebrities who remain healthfully fit achieve it the way all people do. They eat good amounts of healthy foods and partake in regular exercise. Those who do it moderately, allowing for indulgences and working with their bodies rather than against them enjoy positive, long-lasting results. Celebrities can generally afford extra help, which makes attaining fitness easier, but the daily work and commitment still comes down to them, says nutritionist and diet guru Anne Collins.
