Whether through sun exposure, lifestyle choices or age, our faces often belie our real age by losing elasticity and forming wrinkles. You can spend money on expensive exfoliating creams or even make an appointment for a Botox injection or facelift---but with exercise you can help restore your skin's ability to stretch and even minimize the appearance of wrinkles. While these exercises can help reinstitute your youthful appearance, you should always check with your doctor to make sure these exercises can help your specific condition.

Neck/Chin Exercise

Familiesonlinemagizine.com says this exercise can help "tone the neck and flatten a double chin" by helping stretch the skin and firm the muscles under these areas of your face. It is performed by tilting your head back as if you were looking at something on the ceiling. Be sure to keep your spine and shoulders straight throughout the exercise. Push your tongue into the roof of your mouth and part your lips a bit. Hold this position for five seconds and then relax your tongue and return to the start position. This exercise should be performed once daily for six days, followed by one day off.

Forehead Stretch

The forehead stretch exercise is designed to help remove wrinkles that suddenly form on your forehead, according to Todayswoman.com. To perform the exercise you should use the index fingers of both hands to press down on the skin just above your eyes while trying to lift your eyebrows. Your fingers should lift slightly if the exercise is performed correctly. Perform 10 repetitions and repeat daily as necessary.

Lip Wrinkle Exercise

Wrinkles that form around our mouth are referred to as frown lines or laugh lines. This exercise can help stimulate the elasticity of the skin and muscles around your mouth to help minimize the appearance of wrinkles. Sit in a comfortable chair with your mouth closed and your teeth touching. Keep your jaw closed and smile as wide as possible while keeping your lips together. Hold this position for five seconds and then relax slowly while moving your lips into a puckered position as if you were getting ready to kiss. Hold this position for another five seconds and then return to the relaxed position. According to ageless.com this exercise should be repeated 10 times daily.
