While wrinkles are most prevalent on your face and neck, the stomach area can also succumb to this natural aging process. As you get older, your body produces less collagen, which helps keeps skin tight and firm. Stomach wrinkles may not be as visible as those elsewhere on the body, but they can still cause self consciousness. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways you can treat this problem without breaking the bank.
Step 1
Smooth aloe gel over the affected stomach areas. Many wrinkles are caused by dehydration, you can use aloe to hydrate wrinkled skin. Natural aloe is a moisturizer and it helps smooth the skin so the wrinkles are less visible.
Step 2
Drink at least eight, 8 oz glasses of water daily. It not only helps your body get rid of unwanted toxins via skin ducts, it helps keep your skin sufficiently moisturized to prevent wrinkles. You must hydrate internally as well as externally to keep skin soft and supple.
Step 3
Do cardio exercise regularly to help burn away excess fat and skin. When your skin is tight and firm, it it decreases the visibility of wrinkles. It does not have to be intense activity; just something you enjoy and can stick with most days of the week. Some great cardio workouts include dancing, running, stairclimbing and elliptical training.
Step 4
Use abdominal crunches to smooth and firm stomach wrinkles. Lie on you back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Clasp your hands behind your head and lift your shoulders three to four inches off the ground and lower back to original position. Exhale on the way up and inhale when you lower your body back to the floor. Do not sit all the way up as this could hurt your back. Do four sets of 25 repetitions at least three times a week.
