Pizza is a well-known food that uses flat, disc-shaped bread topped with a variety of ingredients to form the individual flavor. One method to eat pizza is to buy the commercially produced frozen pizza and cook it in your oven. Red Baron offers pizza lovers the opportunity to enjoy a variety of flavors with a pizzeria-style pizza.

Types

Red Baron offers the traditional flavors of pizza including cheese, pepperoni and supreme. Each flavor is available in a variety of crusts such as pan, classic crust or thin crust. Red Baron also produces several specialty flavored pizzas such as buffalo style chicken pizza or Philly cheese steak pizza.

Calories

The ingredients and serving size change the overall nutrition information and calories per serving. The four-cheese pizza on classic crust, for example, has a 1/4-pizza serving size and provides 380 calories per serving. Carbohydrates contribute 43 percent of the calories while fat contributes 38 percent and protein contributes the additional 19 percent. Pepperoni pizza on classic crust has 442 calories per serving with 226 of the calories coming from fat. Supreme pizza on classic crust has a 136g serving size and supplies the lowest number of calories with 344 per serving.

Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are the most significant macronutrient found in Red Baron pizzas. The four-cheese pizza on classic crust contains 40g of total carbohydrates per serving for 13 percent of the daily recommended intake and only 2g of dietary fiber. Pepperoni pizza on classic crust contains 36g of total carbohydrates and supreme contains fewer than 32g of total carbohydrates per serving.

Fat

Fat is the second most significant macronutrient and most of the Red Baron pizzas contain a combination of saturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, monounsaturated fat and cholesterol. The four-cheese pizza on classic crust contains 16g of total fat per serving for 25 percent of the daily recommended intake and 9g of saturated fat for 45 percent of the daily recommended intake. Nutrients

Red Baron pizzas don't supply a significant amount of vitamins and minerals. Most of the pizzas contain about 20 to 35 percent of the daily recommended intake of calcium and 12 percent to 17 percent of iron. Red Baron pizzas also contain high amounts of sodium, such as the supreme pizza with 738mg per serving.
