Facilities accommodate 33 guests, with two state-of-the-art gyms, an outdoor sport court, a heated outdoor pool and a gazebo-enclosed hot tub. Guests take Qi Gong, circuit training and dance classes in the cross-training gym. Fitness offerings include Pilates, weight training and indoor-cycling classes with certified trainers. The Lodge at Woodloch has 58 luxury rooms and suites, and offers one-on-one fitness training and group classes including aerobics, kickboxing, stretching, body contouring, yoga, T'ai Chi, Pilates and Qi Gong, with a state-of-the-art CardioWeight Studio. Certified trainers are available to guide you.

Cooking and Nutrition

Both Deerfield and the Lodge provide education on nutrition. This includes cooking demonstrations, nutrition lessons and lectures on weight loss subjects such as how to combat cravings. Deerfield sizes portions correctly and counts calories. At The Lodge, seminars and cooking demonstrations are part of the package, along with chef-hosted dinners. You can opt for personal consultations on healthy and nutritional cooking and culinary topics. Fresh juices, teas, mineral waters, elixirs and snacks are available throughout the day.

Considerations

Cost might be a consideration. At Deerfield, accommodations and length of stay vary, but range from $380 for a two-night stay, to $1,530 for a weeklong deluxe stay as of 2010. Overnight stays at The Lodge range from $249 to $859 with ongoing specials as of 2010. The Lodge has themed weekends, which feature, for example, national yoga instructors and weight-loss authors.
