Eye exercises for eyes that turn inward are designed to help strengthen your eye muscles and alleviate the problems caused by your lazy eyes. While lazy eyes can be treated with vision corrective surgery or glasses at a young age, if the problem remains untreated, it can result in two lazy eyes that are very difficult to correct.

Pencil Eye Exercise

This pencil eye exercise will help you focus your eyes on a specific point, which will strengthen and start to stabilize your eye muscles. Grab a pencil and bring it several inches in front of your nose. At this point, try to focus with both eyes on a letter or word that is written on the pencil. Once you have found your focus, move the pencil closer and closer to your eyes until you can no longer focus. Bring the pencil back out and continue to slowly move it further away from your eyes. Continue to focus on the pencil until it comes out of view. Perform this exercise 20 minutes a day for best results.

Chart Eye Exercise

This chart eye exercise is designed to help you strengthen your eye muscles with the help of long distance vision therapy. Start by sitting in a chair or standing 20 feet from a basic eye chart. From here, cover your right eye with the palm of your left hand. Starting with the top line, try to read the first six lines of the eye chart. If you can not see all six lines, grab a piece of cardboard and poke a pinhole into it. Look through the pinhole to see if this improves your vision at all. Perform this exercise with both eyes to see which one benefits most from the pinhole exercise.

Convergence Exercise

This basic eye exercise is designed to help get your eye that turns inward to focus on a particular point for an extended period of time. Grab a small piece of paper and place a black dot in the center of the piece of paper. Hold the paper at arm's length away from your face. The dot should match your eye level. With your inward turning eye, attempt to move the eye to focus on the dot. Try and hold this gaze for a count of three seconds before letting go. Repeat this exercise 10 times a day for best results.
