Planters started producing peanut products in the early 1900s and is recognized for offering a variety of flavorful and fresh nut products, including peanuts, trail mixes, bars and baking nuts. One of Planters' most popular products is its mixed nuts.

Calories

An ounce serving of 30 Planters mixed nuts has 170 calories, according to the food-label and nutrition guide website DietFacts. Fat accounts for 135 calories, or about 80 percent of the total calories. The remaining calories come from carbohydrates --14 percent -- and protein -- 6 percent.

Features

Planters says each nut used in its mixed nuts is chosen for color, size and taste. The blend of nuts includes cashews, almonds, pecans, hazelnuts and Brazil nuts. During the manufacturing process, each nut is roasted and seasoned. Planters mixed nut flavors include regular, lightly salted, unsalted and honey roasted.

Fat

Total fat content in one serving of mixed nuts is 15 g for 23 percent of the recommended daily intake. With only 2 g of saturated fat, the remaining 13 g are heart-healthy fats.

Carbohydrates

Mixed nuts contain a low amount of sugar, 1 g per serving. One serving has 5 g of total carbohydrates, which is 2 percent of the recommended daily intake. A serving has 2 g of dietary fiber, which is 8 percent of the daily recommended intake.

Nutrients

One serving of regular mixed nuts has 110 mg of sodium, but that amount can be decreased by choosing the lightly salted or unsalted varieties. The most common vitamins and minerals found in mixed nuts include manganese, copper, phosphorus, magnesium and vitamin E, according to DietFacts. Other nutrients in lower amounts include potassium, calcium, iron and niacin.
