Causes
There are several reasons you might be feeling exhausted while trying to lose weight. Improper nutrition and a lack of calories can be one. Several metabolic factors including thyroid and adrenal issues can cause exhaustion. Finally, depression can also contribute.
Nutrition
Improper nutrition that does not provide adequate amounts of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals can be a leading cause of exhaustion during weight loss. Carbohydrates play an important role in energy production, and diets that severely restrict them set you up for a lack of energy. Eating breakfast every morning jump-starts your day and provides the first burst of energy your body needs to thrive. Cutting calories too much can backfire and result in poor energy levels. Exercise
