The city of Davenport is in Polk County, Florida, in the Lakeland-Winter Haven metro area. You can stay in a campground here with accommodations for RV and tent campers as well as those who want to camp in a cabin. Spend your next camping trip in Davenport and experience all of the outdoor recreation the city has to offer and in a nearby state park. Within minutes away are also opportunities to shop in farmers' markets.

Accommodations

Mouse Mountain RV Resort has a total of 299 RV and tent camping sites and Southwest/Fort Summit KOA has 251sites for RV and tent camping as well as one- and two-bedroom cabins for rent. In Florida Camp Inn, you'll find RV sites as well as rental cabins. All of the campgrounds are pet- and family-friendly.

Hookups

All three campgrounds offer full-hookup sites for RVs and Mouse Mountain RV Resort and Orlando Southwest/Fort Summit KOA also have wireless Internet service and cable television. Additionally, telephone and modem hookups are available in Mouse Mountain RV Resort.

Activities

Activities in Mouse Mountain RV Resort are swimming, bingo, horseshoes, shuffleboard and working out on the exercise machine. Southwest/Fort Summit KOA's activities include swimming in the heated pool, working out in the gym and playing ping pong, billiards, video games, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, badminton and bingo. You can also swim in the pool, play shuffleboard and enjoy Thursday night campfires at the Florida Camp Inn.

Facilities and Amenities

Mouse Mountain RV Resort has two comfort stations, two laundry facilities, propane sales and a recreation hall with a commercial kitchen. Orlando Southwest/Fort Summit KOA has a pavilion/meeting room, LP gas and firewood sales, a snack bar, a general store and a free shuttle to Disney World, SeaWorld and Universal Studios. At the Florida Camp Inn, you'll find full laundry facilities, propane sales and a recreation hall.

Area Attractions

While in Davenport, you can spend the day in Jamestown Park where you can play golf, tennis, baseball, soccer, basketball and sand volleyball. You can also enjoy a picnic and walk along a five-mile trail.

Fishing, swimming and boating in Lake Davenport are popular activities as are fishing, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing in nearby Allen David Broussard Catfish Creek Preserve State Park.

You can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables and other items every Sunday, year-round in the Sunday Farmers' Market in Celebration, Florida. Kissimmee, Flrodia, also has two farmers' markets where you can find fresh produce including Downtown Kissimmee Farmers' Market, open year-round on Thursday and Mill Creek Mall Farmers' Market, open year-round on Fridays. All of the farmers' markets are located just 20 minutes from Davenport.
