Marinol has complex effects on the central nervous system including memory, cognition and perception. It also has reversible effects on appetite. Marinol is usually only prescribed when a patient is unresponsive to other medications used to relieve the vomiting and nausea associated with cancer radiation. According to the International Hyperhidrosis Society, Marinol can cause excessive sweating or perspiration.
Fentanyl Patch
Fentanyl Patch is an opioid pain medication prescribed for the treatment of chronic pain. It is administered for severe and long term pain that cannot be managed by other pain medications and require continuous pain relief via narcotics or opioid medications. The Fentanyl Patch is applied to the skin. It contains a strong narcotic pain medication in the form of a gel that works by dulling the pain center for up 72 hours.
