Cypress Bayou RV Park & Teepees has 20 sites for RV campers as well as two furnished tipis. Amazing Grace Acres RV Park offers tent and RV camping for pull-throughs and back-ins. In Caddo Lake State Park you'll find a total of 46 campsites, 20 of which allow pop-ups and small trailers. The park also has seven screened shelters and cabins for rent.
Hookups
Cypress Bayou has sites with full hookups and electricity and water are available in the tipis. Amazing Grace Acres also has full hookups. Twenty of the campsites in Caddo Lake State Park have water only, 18 have electricity and water hookups and eight have electricity, sewer and water hookups. The screened shelters have electricity inside and a water spigot, grill and 20- and 30-amp electricity located outside.
Activities
Activities in Cypress Bayou include observing wildlife and enjoying fishing and boating as well as hiking and mountain biking on groomed trails. You can also ride the train on the Historic Jefferson Railway that runs through the park. In Amazing Grace Acres, you can hike on trails and enjoy bird and wildlife viewing. Hiking, swimming, picnicking, nature study, fishing and boating are the activities in Caddo Lake State Park.
Facilities and Amenities
Cypress Bayou has has restrooms, showers and picnic tables and can accommodate groups up to 1,000 during private events. Amazing Grace Acres has a laundry facility, restrooms, picnic tables, swings for kids and several private group areas with fire rings. All of the campsites in Caddo Lake State Park have a picnic table, fire ring and a grill. You also will find other facilities and amenities such as restrooms with and without showers, picnic sites, an interpretive center, a boat launching ramp, canoe rentals and a playground. Additionally, a picnic tabled is found inside the screened shelters.
Area Attractions
About 25 minutes from Sheffield, you can play a 9-hole round of golf in the Indian Hills Golf Course or in the Rusty Rail Golf Course.
About 30 minutes away, shop for tomatoes, peppers and onions and other spring and cold weather vegetables in the Pinckard Plant Farm in Bivins, Texas.
Within minutes of Sheffield, you can enjoy water sports such as swimming, hiking, water-skiing, boating and fishing in 1,475-acre Atlanta State Park. Other activities in the park include nature study, camping, picnicking, jogging and biking.
