Although a small amount of facial hair is normal for women, the hair can sometimes be more noticeable, especially for women with darker complexions. If you're hoping to remove unsightly facial hair, spare yourself the expense of professional hair removal, the waste of disposable razors and the pain of hot wax by using natural hair removal techniques.
Sugaring
Use body sugaring, which is a substitute for waxing. Mix the juice of 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 cups granulated sugar and 1/4 cup honey or water. Heat the mixture on low heat until it is smooth and bubbly. Allow the mixture to cool until it's comfortable to the touch.
Spread a thin later of the sugar mixture onto body hair, then cover it with a thin strip of cotton fabric. Rub the fabric the opposite direction of hair growth, then pull the fabric quickly from your skin.
Egg
Remove unwanted facial hair with an egg paste. Combine an egg white with a tablespoon of sugar. Stir in enough corn flour to make a thick paste. Smooth the mixture onto facial hair, then allow it to dry. Peel the egg paste carefully from your skin. Egg paste can safely be used up to four times a week.
Turmeric
Place a small amount of turmeric in a bowl, then stir in enough milk to make a smooth paste. Apply the mixture to your facial hair. Remove the turmeric mixture, and the hair, by rubbing gently with clean hands. Alternatively, make a paste of turmeric, water and gram flour.
Honey and Lemon
Combine a tablespoon of freshly-squeezed lemon juice with 4 tsp. honey. Smooth the mixture onto your face in the direction of hair growth, then rinse after 20 minutes. Honey and lemon can be used to remove facial hair twice weekly.
Bleach
Bleach facial hair to make it less noticeable. Wash your face, then place a freshly-sliced tomato half, juice side down, on the area to be bleached. Rinse your face after two to four minutes. Repeat as necessary. Facial hair can also be bleached with a mixture of lemon juice and honey.
