Reebok Elliptical Review

Reebok Ellipticals are produced by ICON Fitness, the largest fitness equipment manufacturer. They are licensed by Reebok. These machines are considered medium- to high-end machines with the slogan "designed for the club, made for the home."

Features

The machine has eight built-in programs, but ICON iFit technology allows you to download more workout programs designed by personal trainers. These downloads are free the first month with a small charge after that.

The consoles and display on the machines are clear and easy to understand. The handles include built-in pulse sensors. Many models also have built-in fans.

Quality

Like other ICON fitness machines, these ellipticals include an abundance of features, but seem to suffer when it comes to assembly quality. Despite their marketing claim that they are similar to commercial machines, Reebok ellipticals are not sturdy, and when they are used by heavier adults, they tend to be wobbly.

Warranty

The less expensive models, such as the RL 525 and 545 have a 90-day parts and labor warranty. Higher end models, including the RL 725 and RL 900, have a one-year parts and labor warranty. You can also buy an extended warranty.

Cost

The Reebok brand ellipticals range in price between $700 to $2,000, as of 2010.
