Cheese crackers are a versatile snack food that can be packed in a school lunch, put out as a party appetizer or snacked on while relaxing at home. Several brands of cheese crackers are found on store shelves, including Sunshine Cheez-Its, made by Kellogg's. Several flavors of Cheez-Its are available, including the original cheddar cheese.

Serving Size

The recommended serving size for Cheez-It original crackers is 27 crackers, which amounts to 30 g. When calculating the nutritional data for the crackers, make sure to take into account how many crackers you are eating. When eating from a box, it is easy to consume multiple servings in a single sitting. If you eat 54 crackers, for example, that constitutes two servings of the crackers.

Calories

Each 27-cracker serving of Cheez-It original crackers contains 150 calories, including 70 calories from fat. If you consume 2,000 calories a day, every serving of the crackers amounts to 7.5 percent of your total daily intake.

Fat

Cheez-It crackers contain 8 g of fat per serving. The total fat content is equal to 12 percent of the daily recommended fat intake if you eat a 2,000-calorie diet. Protein

Cheez-It crackers are not a particularly good source of protein, but they do contain 3 g per serving. Because protein intake is not of great concern in the American diet, minimum intakes are not generally recommended as a part of the Food Guide Pyramid.

Vitamins and Minerals

Cheez-Its contain small amounts of a few of the vitamins and minerals your body needs for survival. Each serving includes 6 percent of the recommended intake for iron, 4 percent of the recommended intake for calcium and 2 percent for vitamin A.
