Thyroid Assist, manufactured by Native Remedies, is an herbal formula made of bladderwrack (kelp), green oats and makandi (sometimes known by its Latin name, Coleus forskohlii). Thyroid assist is marketed as supporting the healthy functioning of the thyroid and to support the endocrine system, but makes no specific claims about treating hypothyroidism. As with all nutritional supplements, Thyroid Assist is subject to the FDA's Dietary Supplement Health Education Act, which basically states that it's up to the manufacturer, not the FDA, to ensure the product as safe before marketing.
Step 1
Fill a small glass about one-quarter full of water or your favorite juice.
Step 2
Unscrew the lid of the Thyroid Assist bottle and tilt it slowly over the glass until drops start to drip through the dropper insert. Hold it in position---if you upend it all the way, the drops may come out too fast to count.
Step 3
Turn the bottle upright once 15 drops have landed in the water or juice. Cap the bottle tightly again and store it in a cool, dark place.
Step 4
Repeat this dosage twice more for a total of three doses daily. Making it part of your daily routine---upon waking, at midday and before going to sleep---helps ensure you do not miss a dose.
Tips and Warnings
- The manufacturer suggests that it may take as many as three to six weeks of continuous use for you to see results from using Thyroid Assist.
