These weight loss boot camps--all in Louisiana--frequently will allow you take a break if you need to. And they typically leave out the screaming and yelling. Weight loss boot camps offer multiple benefits from the most obvious--weight loss--to building confidence, healthy eating habits and strength.

Adventure Boot Camp for Women

Adventure Boot Camp offers several Louisiana locations: New Orleans,
Metairie, Lakeview, Mandeville, Kenner, Westbank and City Park. This is a four-week program that requires you to participate for 1 hour each day. This boot camp includes 20 workouts, a nutrition seminar and assessments. This program accepts all sizes, shapes and abilities.

Salire Fitness Boot Camp

This boot camp is typically four weeks, and a percentage of the profits are given to charities. Sessions are three days a week for an hour a session at any of the two locations: Mid-City and Uptown. As an added incentive for campers, the person who loses the most total inches wins a free month of Fitness Challenge Boot Camp and a free 45-minute private personal training session, according to the website. Program exercises incorporate stretching, light dumbbell exercises, abdominal and core work, jogging and other forms of exercise.

Baton Rouge Boot Camp

Located in Baton Rouge, this boot camp runs from 6 to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday. You can purchase up to nine months worth of sessions. The camp offers free body fat testing as well as an online guide for clients with information on how to eat, get a good night's sleep and workout ideas for your off days. Expect to participate in exercises such as resistance training, Isometrics, aerobic exercise, stretching exercise, running and weight lifting.

Morning Crunch

According to the website, this weight loss boot camp is a combination of cardio and strength training using your body weight, resistance bands and the natural terrain of the park. Camps run for five weeks at a time. The price varies depending on your commitment level. You can choose to attend one class a week or five classes a week.
