Dr. Robert Atkins first introduced the Atkins diet in 1972, according to Sensational.com. The program consists of four phases, which are the induction phase, ongoing weight loss phase, pre-maintenance phase and finally the lifetime maintenance phase. With Dr. Atkins' Quick & Easy new Diet Cookbook, eating delicious healthy meals that adhere to the principles of the Atkins Diet is a cinch. This cookbook is meant to be a companion book to the Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution book, which also contains numerous recipes. There are 50 recipes in this cookbook that are not in the original diet book, including scrumptious meals such as Almond French Toast and Smoked Salmon Rolls. The cookbook was released in 2004. It is 240 pages and sells for approximately $16.95.
