Low levels of androgens, such as testosterone, are linked to low serum albumin. Your blood needs to have the right albumin concentration to adequately regulate the movement of water between your tissues and your blood. The proper movement of water is vital to the transport and delivery of nutrients, hormones, vitamins and minerals throughout your body. Making certain lifestyle changes can raise your testosterone levels, and thus your albumin levels.

Step 1

Clean up your diet and start exercising daily. Overweight men generally have lower testosterone levels than men who are not overweight, according to Dr. Elizabeth Barrett-Connor, a researcher at the University of California at San Diego. Lowering your daily calorie intake and replacing sugary, fatty foods with whole grains, vegetables, fruits and lean meats will help you lose weight. Exercising every day will accelerate the process.

Step 2

Consume at least 11g of zinc per day. Most zinc supplements and multivitamins contain this much in a pill. Zinc intake is closely associated with testosterone levels. Your testosterone levels can plummet if you suffer from even a minor zinc deficiency.

Step 3

Engage in resistance training as often as you can. Lifting weights and doing push-ups, chin-ups and other resistance exercises causes your body to release testosterone to build extra muscle, according to a 1998 article in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.

Things You'll Need
