Loose neck skin is a result of aging, weight fluctuations and exposure to sunlight that breaks down the collagen of the skin. In many cases, the condition has progressed so that only surgery can make an impact, but if the condition is less developed, other treatments may be available to you.
Step 1
See your dermatologist. He may apply laser treatment or radio frequency to the area of skin that has become loose. Both of these devices can restore the elasticity of your skin.
Step 2
Place ointment and bandages on your skin after laser treatment. Your skin may burn, itch or blister after these treatments. The skin may feel the way it does after an intense sunburn. Bandaging prevents the spread of infection into the skin of the neck.
Step 3
Keep your skin moist. During the recovery process, it is important to keep your skin most by using over-the-counter protective ointments and creams. Petroleum jelly is one of the creams used for treating laser burned skin. The healing of the skin lasts about one to two weeks.
