How to Lose Weight in Your Arms Fast

To lose weight in your arms you must lose weight from your entire body. If it is important to have lean arms to look good in a sleeveless top or because you want sexy arms, it is critical to tone the arm muscles in addition to losing over-all body weight. When you build muscle, it helps you burn more calories. Strengthening muscle mass in the arms will also eliminate the chance of sagging skin on the upper arms after losing excess weight.

Step 1

Eat more protein and less fat and carbohydrates to lose fat while building muscles. To lose fat in your arms, you must lose weight all over the body. This requires restricting excess calories. Opt for meals that are lower in calories by reducing carbohydrates and fat from your diet. Make sure you are still two or three servings of protein a day so you can build muscle in your arms. Muscles mass helps burn excess calories.

Step 2

Infuse a cardio exercise with an arm-strengthening workout. This will help you lose weight while toning the arms. Try power walking as a cardio exercise. Walk fast enough that you are breathing heavier and try to break a sweat. Carry weights and swing, or pump, your arms to tone them while you do the cardio.

Step 3

Try push-ups to further tone your arms and build muscle. Lay face down on the floor. Push your body up several inches off the floor with your hands. Keep your spine straight. Repeat about five times for a beginner. Work your way up to about 30 push-ups every other day.

Step 4

Keep hydrated by drinking at least eight cups of water each day. This is important for losing weight in your arms because drinking enough water helps you lose weight quicker and will give you more energy to exercise. Water also nourishes the skin so it stays firm and does not lose elasticity as you lose excess weight.
