Cellulite is a type of fat that appears as dimpled skin that resembles cottage cheese. It is most commonly found on the hips and thighs. The good news is there are ways to eliminate your cellulite. According to Wayne Westcott, fitness research director at the South Shore YMCA in Quincy, Massachusetts and author of "No More Cellulite," the best way to rid yourself of cellulite is to eat healthy and combine 20 minutes of strength training with 20 minutes of cardio three days a week. You can chose from the following Pilates exercises to make up your 20 minutes of strength training.

Do Pilates Exercises

Step 1

Lie on your back with your knees in the air and bent above your hips. Keep your arms straight at your sides with your palms facing down. Breathe out and raise your shoulders off the mat as you curl your chin toward your chest. Extend your arms and lift them off the mat. Extend your legs and lower them towards the floor. Inhale as you pump your arms five times, then exhale and pump five more times. Repeat this for 10 breaths or 100 pumps.

Step 2

Lie on your back with your arms at your side and bend your right leg. Extend your left leg toward the ceiling and point your toes. Breathe in as you trace a circle on the ceiling. Complete five clockwise circles and five counter-clockwise circles. Then switch legs and do the same with your right leg in the air.

Step 3

Lie on your left side. Bend your left elbow and rest your head in your left hand. Bring legs slightly in front of your body and lift your right leg 3 or 4 inches. Kick your right leg forward with your foot flexed. Then bring it back, with your foot pointed as far as you can without swaying your hips. Do this five to 10 times and then repeat on the other side.
