It isn't necessary to use expensive commercial skincare products full of unnecessary detergents, chemicals and fillers that might irritate your skin. Instead, choose a wholesome alternative and make your own natural skincare products at home. Products made from natural ingredients are healthier and usually will take a smaller bite out of your budget. Best of all, natural skincare products will leave your skin feeling and smelling beautiful.

Cinnamon Apple Beauty Soap

Step 1

Place the unscented glycerin soap in the top of a double boiler. Heat the soap until it melts, then stir in the glycerin.

Step 2

Add the ground cinnamon and apple-scented fragrance oil. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Allow the mixture to cool and thicken, then stir again.

Step 3

Pour the soap into a small, sterile plastic container. Remove the soap after it hardens, then cover the soap in plastic wrap or place it in a plastic soap dish. Use as often as desired.

Cucumber Facial Mask

Step 1

Peel a small, organic cucumber and remove the seeds. Chop the cucumber and place it in a blender or food processor.

Step 2

Blend the cucumber, then separate the solids from the liquid by pouring the cucumber through a fine strainer. Save the liquid and discard the solids.

Step 3

Brew a cup of green tea and a cup of chamomile tea. Pour 2 oz. of each into a saucepan. Heat the tea and stir in one packet of unflavored gelatin. Stir until the gelatin is dissolved.

Step 4

Stir in the aloe vera gel. Pour the mixture into a small glass container and place the container in the refrigerator for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the mixture begins to thicken.

Step 5

Wash and dry your face and neck, then smooth the cucumber facial over your skin. Leave the facial for 20 minutes, then peel it away from your skin. Rinse your face with warm water, then pat your skin dry.

Strawberry Scrub

Step 1

Remove the stems from three organic strawberries. Chop the strawberries into small chunks, then mash the chunks with the back of a spoon.

Step 2

Add the warm, natural honey. Stir gently until the berries are completely covered with honey.

Step 3

Massage the strawberry mixture into your face. Rub gently in small circles for three minutes, then remove the mixture from your face with warm water.
