Overview

Cellulite is the dimpled appearance of skin where fat has accumulated under the skin. Cellulite can hinder what you wear in the summer months and how you feel about your physical appearance. According to mayoclinic.com, the best way to naturally lose cellulite is to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly.

Step 1

Start by hydrating your body. Try to drink six to eight glasses of water per day to satisfy your thirst; water is a calorie-free alternative to soda and other sugary drinks. Water will help sustain hydration during exercise and stop your body from gaining additional fat consumed in other beverages. According to shapefit.com, dehydration can make cellulite more obvious.

Step 2

Eat more organic foods. Natural, plant-derived foods contain the most nutrients and will support a cellulite loss program. Eat more fruit, vegetables and whole grains. Consume lean protein--such as chicken, turkey and fish--to avoid eating excess fat and creating more cellulite.

Step 3

Participate in aerobic exercise five to seven days a week for 30 to 45 minutes. According to shapefit.com, cellulite is regular body fat that has accumulated under connective tissue. Aerobic exercise--such as running, walking, swimming and cycling--will help reduce overall body fat and, ultimately, cellulite.

Step 4

Incorporate two to three days of 20 to 40 minutes of strength training into your fitness program. Strength training will improve muscle tone, build muscle mass, strengthen connective tissue and reduce cellulite.
