Magnetic therapy is an ancient method of natural healing that utilizes the energy of magnetism that is important to human existence and overall health. Magnetic field lines flow from the north pole to the south pole and are composed of metal alloys such as iron, nickel or cobalt. The iron in the blood is attracted to the magnetic field, which causes movement within the blood stream; this increased activity allows the blood flow to improve. The natural life force that exists within each living thing is affected by the electromagnetic fields that exist around the earth. Magnetic therapy aims at using the natural pulses of energy created by magnetism, to spur on the natural healing forces of the body.

Step 1

Write down the objectives and goals you want to achieve through the use of magnetic therapy in a journal. Determine what health issues you are trying to overcome and be specific as to the symptoms you are currently experiencing. Clearly define what symptoms you desire to eliminate with magnet therapy.

Step 2

Wear a bracelet or necklace, sleep on a magnetized mattress or place a magnet pad on a specific joint or region of the body that is developing symptoms. Begin the magnet therapy process, according to the specified guidance of a practitioner or as outlined on the product label. Make weekly journal entries as to what you are feeling and if the symptoms you are treating have lessened. Monitor your progress through your detailed journal observations.

Step 3

Meet with a certified acupuncturist for a consultation and treatment session. Acupuncture uses needles to move energy through meridian lines in the body, which are the main pathways through, which chi, or life force energy, moves and flows. This professional can help you understand how the magnet therapy is working and how it is affecting your overall energy.
