A rubber suit, also known as a sauna suit, is a tool that athletes or other individuals may use to lose weight quickly. In the cases of athletes like boxers, wrestlers or jockeys, hitting a prescribed weight is essential to competing in their chosen sport. Other athletes will want to lose weight so they can be quicker and more effective. Certain exercises can be performed in rubber exercise suits that will help the athlete to lose weight.
Running
Athletes who want to lose weight quickly can jog or run while wearing a rubber sauna suit. Wear a cotton T-shirt and sweat pants to absorb the excess perspiration. Limit your running to about 15 minutes when wearing a rubber suit. Do not make the mistake of limiting your water intake before exercising; this can lead to dehydration. Run three-quarter speed to get the best results.
Bicycling
Make sure you have on sweatpants and a tee shirt under your rubber suit to avoid painful chafing when exercising. Riding a bicycle for about 15 minutes can help you lose weight quickly. This is the exercise of choice for many boxers, who also do road work in the mornings; to avoid two running sessions in the same day, boxers run in the morning and ride a bike in a rubber sauna suit in the afternoon or evening.
Tennis
For those who are comfortable and used to wearing sauna suits, try playing an individual sport like tennis while wearing it. Make sure you are in a controlled environment that is air-conditioned or wear it while playing outside only on a cooler day. Don't wear it while exerting yourself fully on a hot day for more than 15 minutes, which can lead to dehydration.
