Acai Splash juice from Garden Greens contains acai berry extract, as well as extracts of blackberry, blueberry, bilberry, cherry, elderberry, goji, grape skin, lycium and pomegranate mixed with green tea. High in antioxidants, Acai Splash has 100 mg of anthocyanins in every serving, and is sweetened with fructose and honey. This is a concentrate, and must be added to cold water before drinking. Two tablespoons added to 6 oz. of water is only 30 calories, and is a good source of fiber.

Acai and Goji Berries

Acai and goji are two superfoods that can increase energy, boost immune system function, regulate blood sugar and may protect against heart disease. Acai are dark purple berries found in the Amazon in South America, while goji are deep red berries grown in China and the Himalayas.

Anthocyanins

Anthocyanins are the flavonoids and pigments that give fruits a deep red/purple color. Bilberries, blackberries, blueberries, grapes and pomegranates all contain anthocyanins, potent antioxidants that may inhibit tumor growth, and fight inflammation and diabetes. They also have antimircrobial and antiviral properties.

Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity

Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, or ORAC, is a measurement of how well a food fights free radicals. Free radicals damage cells and have been linked to Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and heart disease. The higher the ORAC score, the better the food neutralizes free radicals. Acai Splash scores a very high 3,800 on this scale. By comparison, grape juice alone scores 2,377 and blueberry juice scores 2,906, notes the USDA.

Green Tea

Green tea contains a specific antioxidant, epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG, which can stop the growth of cancer cells and kill them without damaging healthy cells. It also lowers cholesterol levels, and can help prevents strokes and heart attacks through its ability to stop the formation of dangerous blood clots. There is also evidence that green tea may help speed up weight loss by revving up the metabolism. However, none of these benefits have been verified in conclusive clinical trials in humans.

Green tea contains caffeine -- less than coffee, but enough that insomnia may be a side effect of over-consumption.
