An epilator is a machine that removes hair by using metal grips to pull it out by the roots. Although all epilators are employed for this purpose, different ones perform the task in a variety of ways. Epilators are often pursued for their long-term durability and capacity to prevent hair from growing back for several weeks. Emjoi Emagine
The Emjoi Emagine Dual Epilator uses three rotating metal discs, along with 72 tweezer heads, to eliminate hair cleanly in one stroke. The tweezer heads are placed in a staggered configuration, which allows them to remove hair neatly on a large scale. The Emjoi Emagine also implements, within its technology, ionic silver an antimicrobial agent that the manufacturer claims reduces the risk of infection.
Panasonic Wet/Dry Epilator
The Panasonic Wet/Dry Epiglide uses three sets of tweezer heads, each which rotate 360 degrees, to remove hair cleanly "in even the toughest-to-reach places." The device can also function while completely submerged under water, making it ideal for use in the shower or bath. Manufacturers of the Epiglide boast the machine's construction to be nickle-free, which makes its usage less inclined to cause allergic reaction in the operator.
ES-WD51-P
The ES-WD51-P, also from Panasonic, is a cordless epilator that also works well in water. It uses 48 tweezers, mounted on a sliding head that moves, alternately, from left-to-right. This configuration removes hair easily, with only mild friction on the skin. The ES-WD51-P also has an interchangeable head, which can be replaced with an electric shaver, to trim bikini lines and other narrow openings. The device works well with foams and creams, allowing hair-removal to be mild and soothing.
